Training course ends at BFRI -New Age
The closing ceremony of the 14-day training course titled ‘Forestry Research and Development in Bangladesh’ was held for newly recruited researchers at the Bangladesh Forest Research Institute at the auditorium of the institute in Chattogram on Saturday.
Environment, forests and climate change minister Shahab Uddin was present at the concluding ceremony of the training as chief guest, while BFRI director Rafiqul Haider spoke as a special guest. The ministry’s additional secretary, Md Mizanul Haque Chowdhury, and US Forest Service Asia Pacific programme manager Justin Green, among others, were present at the event, said a press release.
The minister thanked USAID and the US Forest Service for their overall support of the training course.
The programme was conducted by BFRI publicity officer Yaqub Ali.
